This... was founded in 2000 by David Hills, who has a long career in homewares and a passion for architecture and interior design, and who set about building a brand that would initially bring to market the types of products he loved but were not readily available in the Australian market. In 2003 the label 'this...' was born and since then the organisation has become one of Australia’s best regarded providers of well designed, high quality homewares. 

Why 'this...'? this... is how we live.

From concept to production and even distribution, this considers the environment. Their product material choices take into account issues such as sustainability, energy consumption to produce, carbon output and life cycle analysis.

Flinders Range

In a windswept field near the coast sits a tiny cottage with a thatched roof. On the sturdy table inside you'll find simple, utilitarian, handmade ceramics full of warming food and drinks. That’s the inspiration for "Flinders". Although it has a rustic feel the execution represents pure style, made from pigment coloured, slip-cast porcelain. The colour is actually mixed into the clay, not just glazed on top. The result is a stunning matt texture that will soften over the years. All products are dishwasher and microwave safe and designed to use every day.

Stone Range

The Stone range is a collection of ceramic vases and bowls. The shapes are natural, the finishes feature earthy colours and tactile surfaces. The bowls in this range are simply sublime.
